WHAT IS MOVIE PIRACY

Illegal download of any movie from any illegal website, app, or anywhere else without proper authorization from the right holder i.e. like  producer etc . 

How big the problem is : 

 

Ø the Indian media and entertainment industry loses $2.8 billion of its annual revenue to piracy every year (40% of total revenue)

 

Ø  Over 60,000 jobs every year because of piracy

What did Government and Bollywood do:

Government *

According to Cinematograph Amendment2019  Bill, If any person contravenes the provisions of section 6AA, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years or with fine which may extend to 10 lakh rupees or with both,

Bollywood :

When big lose hit the industry they go to court and get some websites blocked and pirates come with a new domain name(website name ) again

Our solution :

simple, find all the website and apps and take them down with the help of government  and the server  hosting companies ( because an illegal activity is against their company policy ) and we  look constantly if they come back

 

What challenge we face :

Ø it is hard to block a website within a couple of hours

 

Ø it is a little bit hard to make foreign server hosting company delete  data from their  server  

         ( but It can be done with the help of Bollywood )
